Acceptance of Chaos

Accepting what is happening around me in the world is really hard at times. I woke up this morning feeling the weight, grief and suffering of so many in my heart. How can I be in a place of peace, in light of the accelerated chaos, hate crimes and random acts of violence? How can I be with global warming that is affecting so many species and impacting our weather patterns?

How can I stay compassionate in the midst of unfairness and discrimination? What part of me is capable of inadvertently doing something that causes others suffering? How can my thoughts shift to envision more love and kindness?

When I look deeply within, the answer is so simple, but so incredibly hard to remember. When we cross over to the other side, there is only one reality, the reality of Love. It is not different from the one we are in now, but it appears to be very different from this earthly perspective.

I had a glimpse of this reality 10 years ago when I came out of an 11 hour surgery. I awakened to a luminescent ,bright light in the corner of the room and the most glorious feeling of LOVE. I heard a voice say clearly , “LOVE IS ALL THERE IS.”

When the tired and irritated nurse came into my room, I imagined her in this field of Love and she immediately shifted in my experience of her to a kind and caring nurse as she bathed in this field of love.

That experience and working with souls on the other side has been very helpful for me to know that there is nothing to do here, but to be the Loe that you are. The need to change others and the world slips into the background as this becomes more of a guiding perspective for me… The challenge is to remember: that is the practice.

I want to share a very simple mediation that I have been working with recently. Perhaps it will bring solace and peace to you in theses challenging times.

I am peace,You are peace, the World is peace

I am love, You are love, the World is love.

I am God, You are God, the World is God

May you be at peace and full of love,

Michaela
